My name is Casper Yeow. I’m not a great cook. At best, I’m perhaps only a shade above the average guy in that department. Where I excel is in the eating department. So, I’m very fortunate to have been born into the Yeow Family, very blessed with talented cooks. My Sister (Poh Ling Yeow) is the inaugural Master Chef Australia runner-up, my Mum (‘Mamma Yeow’) and great auntie (‘Auntie Kim’) taught her most of what she knew before she became one of the best known celebrity cooks in the country, and to top things off, my wife (Teena) is also highly adept in the kitchen, particularly with Vietnamese fair and baking. If that’s no enough I also have a number of extremely talented cousins who have ventured into and have been very successful in food-related ventures.
Teena and I have had the good fortune of experiencing some of the most amazing foods. A few years back, we started to share images of these experiences on social media like Instagram and Facebook. The responses to these posts have inspired us to take this sharing one step further with our blog, Fooding with The Yeows. Fooding with The Yeows will not be just about food and how it’s made, but also about how food makes life better, day-to-day challenges more bearable, and draws families and friends together. I think Poh Ling Yeow and the rest of the Yeow Family would agree.
If we could, we would have the entire world in our house to share in our food experiences but we can’t. Fooding with The Yeows is our attempt at the next best thing.
